Quilt Retreat, 2013

Once again, my Freedom Escape, alias Montreat Quilters and now the Carson Spring Quilters met for the 29th year. As teacher, I was privileged to spend several days with them with my new Building Blocks pattern. Fun to see the patterns on the design wall and then the various color renditions. We had 29 busy stitchers so impossible to photo all for the longest blog every, but here are a choice few.
Mary proudly sharing her golden choice of colors. Will await final version next year!
Always the over achiever, JoAnn displays a completed wall hanging. Now--to the quilting.
Patti had some fabric dilemmas, but no problem as that only makes for a more creative top.
My Baby Blocks take on a new look set in a sic pointed star variation. Still to come, just the right border an to avoid those dreadful "Y" connections : splitting that top 60 degree diamond into two triangles for easy sewing in rows.
