Hall of Fame, Celebration 2011

A simple pillow accents the Marie Webster printed panel from the Windham Fabric Collection. Check out the July events on www.quiltershalloffame.
Next picture shows the reverse side. How nice that her designs and quilt impact can still decorate out homes.

Total new color scheme. Attend the lively auction at the Marion, IN library for these gems. Much more there too!

What's In a Name? I never thought much about that until a crazy patch quilt was brought into our Bonesteel Hardware Store years ago and unfurled on the glass counter. There was Eleanor Roosevelt's name right in the middle. These are the pillow shams I just completed to match an amazing signature quilt to be auctioned off, also at the Marion Library. All of the living honorees signatures are included on the quilt so it will have quite a history stitched into the layers. Everyone who signed their name gave a donation to the Marie Webster museum.

Quilter mid wife for Miss Priss and 3 chicks

Img_3168

After exactly 21 days from the time I scooted 3 fertilized eggs under Miss Priss, they hatched this am on a lovely spring morning. Not sure what to do next but let Mother Nature take over and keep them away from 3 grown chickens.

Same morning I finished a quilt--that picture will come later, Georgia
